Joint Program Fosters Expertise in Public Health Issues

The New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry and College of Global Public Health are now offering a joint DDS/Online Advanced Certificate in Public Health Program to give students a better understanding of public health issues and concepts. “With this new program, dental students now have the opportunity to gain essential knowledge and training in core public health concepts that will enhance their ability to develop more efficient health care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and make a positive difference in people’s lives in global communities,” states Charles N. Bertolami, DMedSc, DDS, dean of NYU College of Dentistry.

Certificate program courses include epidemiology, global issues in social and behavioral health, global health policy and management, biostatistics for public health and global environmental public health.
