She is an active investigator on National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and corporate-funded clinical research studies and hospital-wide clinical effectiveness redesign. Additionally, she serves as regular chair of NIH study sections for review of research grant applications.
Suzanne Robertson, RDH, Myofunctional Therapist, practiced dental hygiene for more than 20 years before training in orofacial myofunctional therapy and establishing La Jolla OMT practice in La Jolla. She is certified in Buteyko breathing, sleep apnea and temporomandibular joint therapies through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
Brian E. Bergeron, DMD, is an associate professor and endodontics residency program director at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a fellow in the International College of Dentists. Bergeron serves on the American Dental Association Dental Quality Alliance, the scientific advisory board for the Journal of Endodontics, and as a site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Van B. Haywood, DMD, is a professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. A coauthor in 1989 on the first paper on nightguard vital bleaching, he has more than 145 publications on bleaching technique and esthetics, including first papers on treating bleaching sensitivity with potassium nitrate, direct thermoplastic tray fabrication, bleaching primary teeth, and caries control with bleaching materials. Daniel A. Savett, DMD, MS, COL, USAF, DC, is director of the U.S. Air Force Dental Evaluation and Consultation Service, a 59th Dental Group Staff located at Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam Houston in Texas. Savett has deployed as both a staff dentist and Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force advisor under Operations Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. He is a member of the International Association for Dental Research, American Society for Microbiology and American Dental Association.
Kelli C. Mack, DDS, COL, USAF, DC, is director of professional services at the U.S. Air Force Dental Evaluation and Consultation Service, a 59th Dental Group Staff located at Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam Houston in Texas. She is also the Air Force dental military consultant to the Surgeon General for infection control and patient safety, and has been responsible for overseeing infection prevention and control programs at various levels for more than 12 years.
