Stephen A. Rappeport, DDS, has practiced periodontics for more than 35 years in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is an associate professor in the College of Health Science, School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith. Alexander E. Pozhitkov, PhD, is an associate director
in research informatics at City of Hope Cancer Center in Los Angeles.
He also holds a joint appointment at the University of Washington
School of Dentistry. His research interests include the material science
of dental implants and microbiology of periodontitis
Daniel C. Chan, DMD, MS, DDS, is a professor and
chair in restorative dentistry at the University of Washington School
of Dentistry in Seattle. A fellow of the American Institute for Medical
and Biological Engineering, International College of Dentists,
American College of Dentists and the Academy of Dental Materials,

Marion C. Manski, RDH, MS, is an associate professor at
the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in
Connecticut. She has been a dental hygienist for more than 34 years
and was recognized as the 2016 “Mover and Shaker” in Decisions in
Dentistry’s sister publication Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s annual
“Six Dental Hygienists You Want to Know.” Manski was honored in 2017 by the
American Dental Hygienists’ Association with the Irene Newman Award.

Theodoros Katsaros, DDS, MSD, is a clinical assistant professor and predoctoral periodontics director at the University of Iowa

University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Crystal Kanderis Lane, RDH, MS, is an assistant professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at Idaho State University and a practicing oral health professional of 15 years.
Kandis V. Garland, RDH, MS, is the dental hygiene program manager at College of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls. Her career spans 22 years as a dental hygienist and educator where she has served as clinic coordinator and health and safety coordinator. Her research, which she presents nationally, focuses on infection control. Garland is an active member of the Association for Dental Safety and Dimensions of Dental Hygiene’s Peer Review Panel. She is also a Dimensions Brand Ambassador.
