Coltene, an international manufacturer of dental consumables and small equipment, has entered the computer-aided-design/computer-aided-manufacturing market as a new material partner for DENTSPLY SIRONA’s CAD/CAM-based CEREC system. Early next year, Coltene will debut new reinforced composite blocks for chairside-manufactured inlays, onlays, crowns and veneers. The line, which will be offered under the brand name BRILLIANT Crios, is designed to deliver excellent results when processed via CAD/CAM in the dental office. The material reportedly offers both strength and beauty in a composite that lends itself to digital dentistry. The two firms are pledging continued cooperation to take further advantage of the possibilities that digital dentistry brings when paired with modern composite materials.
