Endodontic Innovation Award Funds High-Tech Research Lab
The West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry has received a 50,000-dollar innovation award to build a state-of-the-art endodontic research lab.
The West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry has received a $50,000 innovation award to build a state-of-the-art endodontics research lab on its Morgantown campus. The American Association of Endo dontists (AAE) Foundation/ DENTSPLY Innovation in Research Grant will help equip a 4000-square-foot facility that will be used by faculty, students and researchers. The lab will be developed in collaboration with the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
“The AAE Foundation and DENTSPLY Tulsa Dental Specialties are honored to present this award in recognition of WVU’s initiatives to promote excellence in research,” notes David Funder burk, DDS, MS, an AAE Foundation trustee and WVU School of Dentistry alumnus. Funderburk adds that the school has a tremendous track record of ad vancing the endodontic specialty.
