American Academy of Periodontology Names Executive Director

The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) has named Erin O’Donnell Dotzler executive director. Beginning her tenure at the AAP in 2006, O’Donnell Dotzler served as director of public, practice and scientific affairs until 2014, when she was promoted to associate executive director of education, scientific affairs, policy and meetings. Her achievements include coordinating the 2008 Workshop on Inflammation and 2014 Workshop on Regeneration, implementing public and professional outreach programs, cultivating relationships with health care agencies and expanding the AAP’s continuing education offerings. As executive director, O’Donnell Dotzler will report to the AAP Board of Trustees while overseeing operations and working with the board to enhance and implement strategic goals.
