Periodontist Joins Decisions’ Editorial Team
Belmont Business Media is pleased to introduce Adam E. Saltz, DMD, MS, MPH, as the new managing editor of Decisions in Dentistry. He joins an editorial team led by Editor in Chief Thomas G. Wilson Jr., DDS. Introduced in 2015, Decisions offers dentists working in general, family, and cosmetic dentistry, as well as specialists from all disciplines, content that meets the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in multidisciplinary care.
A practicing periodontist in South Portland, Maine area, Saltz formerly taught at the University of New England and currently serves as faculty consultant at Kansas City University, where he developed its predoctoral periodontal curriculum. A diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he focuses on minimally invasive surgery, perio-prosthetics, and digitized implant workflows to deliver the highest quality interdisciplinary care. Saltz has also received extensive training and certification in intravenous conscious sedation during his residency.
A frequent contributor to scientific journals, he lectures nationally on periodontal and peri-implant disease. Saltz won the 2020 Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award for Excellence, presented to the nation’s top overall graduating resident for outstanding character, service, leadership, and academic achievement. He is currently president-elect of the Maine Dental Association, chairs multiple state and regional committees, and was recently appointed to the American Dental Association’s New Dentist Committee.
