A growing number of states are authorizing dentists to administer immunizations for COVID-19 to help speed vaccine delivery. At presstime, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Oregon allow dentists to inoculate for COVID-19. The orders in Connecticut and New York also apply to dental hygienists. Additional states, including Indiana and Missouri, are considering similar authorizations.
