Jools Lebron, the internet sensation who went viral with her “very demure” video, set up a GoFundMe to pay for dentures and her followers revolted.
In 2024, Jools Lebron, a transgender woman from Chicago, became instantly famous when she posted a video about being “very demure” in the workplace that garnered 58 million views. The term “very demure” became ubiquitous
in popular culture, even winning “word of the year” from dictionary.com in 2024.
Recently, Lebron set up a GoFundMe to help pay for preprosthetic surgery and complete dentures to the total of $45,000. It seemed this angered her followers, with many suggesting she get a “real job” and others asking why she would need dentures.
Lebron responded that her viral fame led to her misusing drugs and alcohol, which led to severe tooth decay that went untreated. She has since removed the GoFundMe request due to the backlash. Click here to read more.
