Indiana Oral Health Professionals Are Displeased With Spending of Compliance Fund
When dentists and dental hygienists renew their license to practice in the state of Indiana every other year, they pay a $20 fee that goes into a state-run compliance fund. The fund is intended for use in investigating oral health professionals who are accused of professional misconduct. However, a whistleblower alerted the Indiana Dental Association that the administrator of the fund, the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, was using the monies to pay for office upgrades and employee salaries.
