Dental Hygienist Inspires Others in Her Quest to Become a Physician

When Mskelebogile graduated from high school in South Africa, her grades and test scores were not high enough to put her on the track to medical school. With an ever-present passion for healthcare and helping others, the young woman instead entered dental hygiene school. Graduating with honors, Mskelebogile began working as a dental hygienist. However, her desire to become a physician never waned. And after 8 years of working in dental hygiene and retaking courses for higher grades, she was accepted into medical school, and is currently completing her fourth year.
