Recording Conversations Between Oral Health Professionals and Patients Is a No-No
The California Dental Association (CDA) is alerting its members that recording conversations between clinicians and patients in dental settings is fraught with risk. The CDA notes that such recordings may violate the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, result in the inability to control who conversations are shared with, and the development of legal problems regarding consent.
