Wisconsin Dental Practice Provides Free Care to Patients in Need
More than 1.5 million Wisconsin residents live in healthcare provider shortage areas, leaving many without access to dental care. One volunteer dental practice, Tri-County Dental, has been working to alleviate the access-to-care problem for more than 20 years. Serving residents of Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties, volunteer oral health professionals provide free or low-cost dental care in a brick-and-mortar practice as well as in a mobile dental clinic that visits area schools providing preventive dental care to children. Since its inception, Tri-County Dental has provided more than $51 million in dental care to low-income and underinsured patients. Click here to read more.
