Application Period Is Open for Pre-Dental Program Serving Underrepresented Students

Started in 2021 by Arian Johnson, DDS, a Black woman who faced a variety of obstacles when applying to dental schools, the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Dental Medicine’s program Destination Dental School provides undergraduate and post-graduate students who are underrepresented in dentistry with a free 8-week course on what it’s like to be a practicing dentist. Students receive guidance on taking the Dental Admission Test and can apply to the UB School of Dental Medicine at no charge. The summer program is accepting applicants until March 31.
