UCSF Integrates its Medical and Dental Records

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), is the first academic institution in the Western United States to merge all of its medical and dental records in a step toward unifying medicine and dentistry. On December 5, the system enabled patients to review both their medical and dental records in the same place while also providing access to medical and dental providers, giving them a broad view of their patients’ overall health.
