Canada Legislates Nationwide Dental Benefit for Children

0

Canada will offer national dental coverage for children younger than 12 whose families earn less than $90,000 per year. The plan will pay up to $650 annually—depending on income level—for routine dental care. The benefit will come through tax-free funds received through an application process. In order to participate, children must not be covered under any type of dental insurance and parents/guardians will need to provide receipts for the dental care obtained. It is estimated that more than 50,000 Canadian children will qualify for the benefit. Dental care costs incurred beginning October 1, 2022, are eligible for reimbursement. Click here to read more.
