New York State Dental Association Uses Mets Game to Raise Awareness of Oral Cancer

With more than 30,000 fans in the stadium, a Mets game provided an opportunity for the members of the New York State Dental Association to get the word out about oral cancer risk. Mets fans watched a video about oral cancer on the stadium’s jumbotron and more than 150 individuals received oral cancer screening from volunteer oral health professionals. According to the American Cancer Society more than 54,000 American are diagnosed with oral cavity or oropharyngeal cancer each year. Click here to read more.
