Good News—Monkeypox Cases Are Declining
According to the World Health Organization, the number of monkeypox cases across the globe decreased by 21% during the week of August 15, after months of precipitous increase. The United States is home to most of the 41,000 diagnosed cases (34%). The decline suggests that the monkeypox pandemic may be winding down, as vaccine access, information campaigns, and behavior changes are implemented.
