Dentists Want to Be Included in Government Planning for Future Pandemics
On February 4, the American Dental Association (ADA) made a request to the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions that dentists be included in any planning related to the management of future pandemics. The committee recently released a draft of the Prepare for and Respond to Existing Viruses, Emerging New Threats, and Pandemics Act, or PREVENT Pandemics Act, which is designed to improve the nation’s preparedness and response to public health crises.
