California Changes Its COVID-19 Course to Embrace New Endemic Policies
The state of California is changing its COVID-19 policy to embrace an endemic as opposed to a pandemic approach. The new policies focus on preventing infection and implementing a nimble response to outbreaks. The state will fund initiatives designed to note new surges at their earliest onset, hire more healthcare providers, enable widespread testing, and combat misinformation campaigns. The state rescinded its indoor mask mandate on February 16. The goals of the new approach are to get Californians back to more normal living while preventing the need for business shutdowns and mask mandates. However, the requirement that all children enrolled in public school must be vaccinated against COVID-19 by the fall of 2022 is still valid. Click here to read more.
