US Boosts Its Order of Pfizer’s Antiviral Medication by 10 Million
With the United States reporting nearly 1 million new COVID-19 cases—smashing through previous records—on January 3, the federal government has subsequently increased its initial order of Pfizer’s antiviral medication by 10 million. Initially, the US ordered 10 million doses of Paxlovid but increased that order to 20 million in light of the Omicron variant. The first 10 million doses will arrive in June with the order reaching completion by September.
