COVID-19 Hospitalizations Creep Up Across the United States
The trend of declining numbers of hospitalizations due to COVID-19 seems to have sadly come to an end as increases in hospitalizations have been reported among more than 30 states over the past 2 weeks. At the onset of November, daily hospitalizations hovered around 45,000; currently, the average is 58,000 per day. Six states—Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, and Illinois—have seen the most significant increases in COVID-19-related hospitalizations.
