FDA Approves Booster Shots for Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine
While booster shots for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine were approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in September, the jury was still out on the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. On October 14, the FDA approved booster shots for the Moderna version for adults age 65 and older and those at high risk, such as healthcare professionals. The booster shot will contain half the dose of the original immunization, and should be administered 6 months after the second shot in the two-shot series is given. Click here to read more.
