
COVID-19 Vaccination Rates in the US Continue to Increase
More Americans are rolling up their sleeves to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as the pandemic wears on across the globe. Today, approximately 72% of US adults are currently immunized, up from 68% in July. The biggest gains were found among Hispanic adults. According to a poll conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation, there are several key reasons behind this increase. Respondents noted the rising case numbers due to the Delta variant, worry that hospitals are overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients, watching a loved one struggle with COVID-19-related illness, and the desire to participate in activities currently requiring vaccination were the most frequently cited reasons for taking a COVID-19 vaccine.
