California Allows Dentists to Apply for License to Give Rapid COVID-19 Tests

In the state of California, providers who want to administer rapid COVID-19 tests must apply for a laboratory license. California Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed legislation allowing licensed dentists in the state to apply for such a license, which will enable dentists to test their own employees for COVID-19. Weekly negative COVID-19 tests are required for those healthcare workers who decline COVID-19 vaccination. The new legislation also permanently includes dentists as authorized providers for COVID-19 and flu vaccinations. Click here to read more.
