Risk of Long-Haul COVID-19 Cut in Half With Vaccination

A large-scale study of more than 1 million participants shows the risk of long-haul COVID-19, or the persistence of symptoms after the infection has resolved, is drastically reduced among those fully vaccinated. The British study, published in Lancet Infectious Diseases, also demonstrates that, among the vaccinated, the likelihood of getting COVID-19 is rare. Study authors suggest that—due to these results—booster shots should be administered first to those at greatest risk of serious illness, as opposed to only considering age. Click here to read more.
