Researchers Suggest that COVID-19 Cases Will Soon Be on the Decline
As the United States continues its struggle to get surging COVID-19 cases—fueled by the Delta variant—under control, some researchers suggest there is light at the end of the tunnel. Through an analysis of mathematical models used to predict the trajectory of the global pandemic, a research group at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has predicted that daily case numbers for the nation will plummet to 9,000 a day by March 2022. Current daily case numbers are now at about 145,000. This best-case scenario depends on children between the ages of 5 and 11 becoming eligible for vaccination and the absence of a new, highly contagious variant. Click here to read more.
