ADHA Joins Call for COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Among Oral Health Professionals

While the American Dental Association stopped short of supporting a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for oral health professionals, a coalition from 57 organizations, including the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), signed a joint statement in support of such a requirement. The statement includes this call to action, “We call for all governmental executive, regulatory, and legislative entities to mandate that all oral health care workers, including oral health care students and residents, be vaccinated against COVID-19.” In addition to the ADHA, the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, American Dental Education Association, Hispanic Dental Association, and National Dental Association stand behind the statement.
