Healthcare Systems Across the US Require Employees to be Vaccinated Against COVID-19
With more than 60 medical organizations representing a wide variety of healthcare professionals—from physicians to nurses to pharmacists to physician assistants—formally issuing a statement in support of mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for healthcare providers, medical systems across the nation are requiring employees to get vaccinated. Such a mandate is legal as most healthcare systems require certain immunizations for employment, such as the flu vaccine. Thus far, such large organizations as the US Veteran’s Administration and Atrium Health, as well as the prestigious Mayo Clinic are all requiring healthcare workers to get vaccinated or lose their positions.
