Delta Variant Proves More Dangerous to the Lungs
The spike on the new Delta variant that is quickly spreading across the globe is better able to impact lung cells than the spikes on previous iterations. The Delta spike easily enters lung cells and fuses them together, worsening the respiratory effects of COVID-19.
