FDA Says Antibody Testing Not Effective in Determining Immunity Among the Vaccinated
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing is not able to determine immunity among individuals who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Antibody testing can be used to determine whether an individual had a previous COVID-19 infection, but it is ineffective in evaluating whether a vaccinated person generates a strong immune response to SARS-CoV-2.
