Poll Data Show Americans Support Restrictions Against Those Who Refuse COVID-19 Vaccinations
A Reuters poll of 1,000 Americans found the majority want to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, and they support restrictions regarding travel, workplace, and lifestyle for those who decline COVID-19 vaccines. COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy has continued to decrease with 54% of respondents saying they will be vaccinated in March 2021 compared to just 41% who said they would get vaccinated in May 2020. With a long, arduous year of pandemic restrictions, most respondents (72%) said it was important to know the vaccination status of those around them. More than 65% want unvaccinated people to be barred from air travel, and more than 50% said the unvaccinated should not be allowed to visit gyms, movie theaters, or concert venues.
