More Patients Return to the Dental Office

Results from a poll taken the week of January 18 show that 88% of patients have either already sought dental care or are planning to do so. The poll, conducted by the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute (ADA HPI), also found that patient volume levels are at 80% of pre-pandemic levels and staffing is at 99% of pre-COVID-19 levels. The ADA HPI reports that, while full recovery for dental practices may not happen immediately due to some Americans deciding to wait to seek oral healthcare until they are vaccinated, summer or fall may bring practices back to the same patient volumes as before the emergence of SARS-CoV-2.
