Dentists Are Ready for COVID-19 Vaccination

While vaccine hesitancy is a significant hindrance to widespread immunization against the novel coronavirus across the United States, dentists are ready to roll up their sleeves. According to a poll conducted during the week of December 14 by the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute, 64% of dentists believe it is extremely important to receive a COVID-19 vaccination and 20% say it is very important. Most dentists said they would get immunized as soon as one was available to them.

The poll also found that patient volumes are at 78% of pre-pandemic levels, which is an increase from 76% reported in a November 30 poll. Staffing is at 98.5% of pre-COVID-19 levels—good news for oral health professionals. Click here to read more.
