Most Americans Are Now Complying With Mask-Wearing Recommendations
According to a poll conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation, 73% of Americans now report wearing a mask when leaving home. In May 2020, only 52% acknowledged they wore a mask while in public. Additionally, 70% of poll respondents said they could continue social distancing for 6 or more months in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. As coronavirus cases continue to skyrocket in the United States, 51% said the worst of the pandemic is still to come, compared to 38% who shared this opinion in September. The survey was conducted between November 30 and December 8, and included 1,676 adults from across the US.
