Distribution of Phase 3 Provider Relief Funds Begins
The United States Health Resources and Services Administration has finished reviewing applications submitted for funds from the Provider Relief Fund (PRF), and will begin dispersing the $24.5 billion to more than 70,000 healthcare providers—including dental practices—immediately. The PRF is able to compensate applicants up to 90% of their lost revenues. Created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, the PRF is designed to help oral health professionals and other healthcare providers survive significant revenue loss and changes in expenses due to COVID-19. The funds should be fully disseminated by the end of January 2021.
