Schools Begin Shutting Down as COVID-19 Case Numbers Skyrocket
While many school districts had begun serving students—especially elementary school children—in person this fall, another surge in COVID-19 numbers across the country has led to many schools moving back to virtual learning. Large metropolitan cities, including Boston, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Philadelphia, have all shut down in-person learning. The Associated Press reports that New York City may be next to make this difficult decision. The United States had more than 150,000 new cases reported on November 12, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to more than 10 million. Read more here.
