Will Wearing Eye Goggles Help Stop the Spread of COVID-19?
Anthony Fauci, MD, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, recently suggested that wearing eye goggles or eye shields by everyday citizens could reduce community spread of COVID-19. He noted that the eye has mucosal surfaces through which the virus can transmit, therefore protection of such surfaces may be prudent.
