Dentistry Continues Its Recovery
Survey results compiled by the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute continue to demonstrate dentistry’s recovery during the global pandemic. A poll conducted during the week of July 27 shows that 44.5% of dental practices are “open and business as usual,” 54.3% are “open but lower patient volumes,” and 1.2% of practices remain closed. Additionally, 91.6% of practices note they are paying their full staffs.
In regard to personal protective equipment (PPE), the percentage of practices that have more than a 14-day supply of necessary PPE are as follows: 54.9% have N95 masks, 66.2% have surgical masks, 75.5% have face shields, and 49.2% have gowns. To read complete survey results, click here.
