
HHS Opens COVID-19 Provider Relief Fund to Dentists
The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has made more than $4 billion of provider relief funds available to hospitals serving vulnerable patients of low socioeconomic status, those located in rural and small metropolitan areas, and urban hospitals with special rural Medicare designations. For the first time, dentists who treat patients covered by Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program can also apply for this funding. Dentists who are eligible can receive up to 2% of their annual reported patient revenue. Applications for funding are due July 24, 2020. Read more here.
