Dental Organizations Request Tariff Suspension to Improve Flow of Supplies
Securing enough personal protective equipment and other supplies needed to practice safely during a global pandemic has been challenging for dental practices across the nation. In order to speed up the process of procuring such supplies from abroad, the American Dental Association (ADA) and Dental Trade Alliance (DDTA) have asked the US Congress to implement a 90-day suspension of tariffs on imported goods. Representatives of ADA and DTA noted the undue burden placed on manufacturers, distributors, and consumers by a maze of tariffs that raise costs and red tape. Read more here.
