CDC Recommends Public Mask Wearing


With new evidence demonstrating that the coronavirus is spread via bioerosols, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reversed course and now recommends that all Americans wear masks when out in public. With medical masks in short supply and reserved for those on the frontlines of providing health care, homemade masks or cloth face coverings are suggested. As healthcare workers have run out of masks and other personal protective equipment, Americans across the country have begun sewing handmade masks to support their local medical personnel, and many online tutorials are available online to help novice sewers create their own masks.
