AAE Proclaims May as Save Your Tooth Month in Illinois
To help people appreciate their natural teeth and increase awareness about the importance of practicing good oral hygiene, the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) teamed up with Illinois State Rep. Sam Yingling (D-Grayslake) to proclaim May as Save Your Tooth Month throughout the state.
CHICAGO- To help people appreciate their natural teeth and increase awareness about the importance of practicing good oral hygiene, the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) teamed up with Illinois State Rep. Sam Yingling (D-Grayslake) to proclaim May as Save Your Tooth Month throughout the state. The measure introduced by Yingling is expected to be adopted by the end of the state’s legislative session.
According to a survey by the AAE, 61% of women feel strongly that saving their natural teeth helps them feel better about themselves, compared to 51% of men. Twenty-four percent of millennials ranked teeth as the No. 1 thing they would save or maintain about their body, compared to baby boomers’ preference for saving their eyesight (37%). More than 95% of people say it’s important to save your natural teeth.
