Daniel M. Laskin, DDS, MS, is a professor and chairman emeritus of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry in Richmond. He is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon and educator who has contributed to the field for more than 50 years. Laskin is a former president of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and International
Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also editor emeritus of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Laskin can be reached at dmlaskin@vcu.edu.
