Helene Bednarsh, BS, RDH, MPH, is director of the HIV Dental Ombudsperson Program at the Boston Public Health Commission and dental director for the New England AIDS Education and Training Center in Boston. She is also vice president of HIVdent. Bednarsh received the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Alfred C. Fones Award in 2005 and the Distinguished Service Award from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2007. She is also a member of OSAP. Bednarsh can be reached at: hbednarsh@bphc.org.
