EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Describe the diagnostic protocol for identifying horizontal root fractures, including clinical, radiographic, and vitality assessments.
  2. Identify the indications, risks, and outcomes associated with conservative versus proactive treatment approaches to horizontal root fractures.
  3. Discuss the factors influencing healing and prognosis of HRFs at the cervical root level and the implications for adolescent and adult patient care.
