Sercan Akyalcin, DDS, a globally recognized orthodontist, is the head of orthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He has authored or co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications and numerous book chapters and has co-edited orthodontic textbooks, including Mosby’s Orthodontic Review. Akyalcin’s research interests include three-dimensional imaging, digital orthodontics, biomechanics, machine learning applications in orthodontics, and craniofacial growth and development. He is frequently invited to present at national and international orthodontic and dental conferences.
