Root Canal Awareness Week Slated

The American Association of Endodontists (AAE) invites dentists and their patients to join them in celebrating the 10th anniversary of Root Canal Awareness Week. Slated March 27 through April 2, the AAE outreach initiative is a national effort to raise awareness of the endodontic specialty and help patients and general dentists decide when to contact a specialist. Declaring that “root canals aren’t what they used to be,” the AAE describes Root Canal Awareness Week as “an excellent time to explain the important role endodontists play in dental health, and to teach the public that root canals should not be feared.” The initiative’s key goals include building relationships among dental professionals and dispelling myths about root canal treatment.
