Research Awards Support Advanced Orthodontic Care

Align Technology has announced the opening of its 2021 Research Award Program to support dental research in universities across the globe. Under the program, up to $300,000 will be available to fund research initiatives to advance care in orthodontics and dentistry. The company has awarded approximately $2 million since the program’s inception in 2010, which has led to discoveries that include the biochemical markers of bone metabolism during early orthodontic tooth movement with clear aligners. All applications will be reviewed by an independent academic committee that will forward its recommendations to Align Technology for final selection.
