Christian Stohler Recognized for Contributions to Oral Health Research
The American Association of Dental Research (AADR) honored Christian S. Stohler, DMD, Dr Med Dent, dean of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and senior vice president of Columbia University Medicine Center, for his contributions to oral health research.
The American Association of Dental Research (AADR) honored Christian S. Stohler, DMD, Dr Med Dent, dean of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and senior vice president of Columbia University Medicine Center, for his contributions to oral health research during a ceremony at the 95th IADR/AADR/CADR General Session & Exhibition in San Francisco. Stohler was recognized for his leadership of the Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, where he served as president from 2011 to 2015, until the institute integrated operations with the AADR — a transition led by Stohler. His research includes work exploring the genetics, endocrinology and neurobiology of the human response to pain, specifically in patients with temporomandibular joint dysfunction.
